Running a florist business means no two days are ever the same. This week at Hip Poppy has been full of flowers, plant installations and exciting new opportunities.
I’ve been working on our plant installation at The Blackberry Jack, delivering birthday flowers to residents at The Orchard Nursing Home and preparing a large bouquet that will be heading to The Dorchester.
Plant Installation at The Blackberry Jack
This week I installed a new selection of plants at The Blackberry Jack.
The aim was to create a soft woodland feel using natural textures and greenery that complements the pub’s blackberry theme.
Here’s a little before-and-after of the installation.
Plants can completely transform a space, and it’s always rewarding to see how much difference greenery makes to a venue.
Flowers for Care Homes
Alongside our regular flower deliveries, I’ve also been providing birthday flowers for residents at The Orchard Nursing Home.
We’re also planning some flower demonstrations for residents at Alban Manor, which I’m really looking forward to. Flowers have such a positive impact on wellbeing, and these sessions are always lovely to be part of.
A Bouquet Heading to The Dorchester
I’m also working on a large bouquet that will soon be heading to The Dorchester in London.
I’ll be sharing photos once it’s delivered.
Spring Is On The Way
Spring is one of my favourite times of year as flowers begin popping up everywhere — blossom on the trees, daffodils appearing in gardens and fresh seasonal blooms arriving from the wholesalers.
It’s a wonderful reminder of why I love working with flowers.
