Halloween Flowers & a New Workshop Venue at The Blackberry Jack, St Albans
One last little spell for Halloween—and some lovely news for Hip Poppy! 🎃🖤
This week’s floral display at The Blackberry Jack in St Albans brings together black glittered roses, fiery orange pincushion flowers and a splash of bright pink orchid. Tucked among the flowers are ornamental gourds, berries and textured foliage, creating a design full of autumn character.
I love playing with unexpected colours. Halloween flowers don’t have to follow one formula, and those pink orchids bring something wonderfully mischievous to the darker roses and orange blooms.
It’s my final Halloween arrangement of the season, but there’s something new beginning at the pub.
Hip Poppy floristry workshops at The Blackberry Jack
I’m delighted to share that The Blackberry Jack has agreed to host Hip Poppy floristry workshops, giving us space to bring larger groups together here in St Albans.
My studio accommodates just two participants, which is lovely for a personal session. Having a pub venue available opens up more possibilities for friends, celebrations and creative get-togethers.
Think flowers spread across the table, learning something new and taking home an arrangement you’ve made yourself.
A little time to get creative
You don’t need floristry experience to enjoy a workshop. I’ll guide you through the process, helping you get comfortable with the flowers and find your own style.
Hip Poppy workshops offer different ways to explore floral design, including hand-tied bouquets, flower crowns, table arrangements and seasonal wreaths. We can discuss the design that suits your group when you enquire.
The orange flowers and autumn colours in our workshop video offer a little inspiration for what a seasonal session could look like.
Interested in joining us?
Workshop dates at The Blackberry Jack will be announced once arrangements are finalised. In the meantime, I’d love to hear from you if you’re interested in attending or organising a private group session.
From a final Halloween flourish to new creative beginnings—there’s more blooming at The Blackberry Jack. 🌸
