Remembering Dee: Pink and Purple Funeral Flowers in St Albans
A darling sister, Aunty Dee and Great Aunty Dee—a huge part of her family, remembered with love.
It was a privilege to create these bespoke funeral flowers at Hip Poppy in St Albans for Dee’s farewell. Gentle pinks and vibrant purples connected the arrangements, each with its own character and detail.
Pink and Purple Flowers for Dee
The funeral spray combined purple hydrangeas, light pink roses, pink carnations and delicate astilbe among fresh foliage. Rounded flower heads sat alongside finer, feathery stems, creating a soft, textured arrangement.
The floral lettering brought together brighter pink roses, gerberas and striking purple orchids. Full of colour and carefully placed flowers, the letters formed another personal part of the family’s goodbye.
Together, the designs offered a farewell with both softness and vibrancy.
A Much-Loved Sister and Auntie
Flowers can accompany the words that are hardest to say. Dee’s family shared this message to remember her:
“Darling sister Dee, Aunty Dee, Great aunty Dee. A huge part of our family. Fly high now, we’ll never forget you 💔”
Those words belong at the heart of this tribute—a reminder of Dee’s place in her family and how deeply she will be missed.
With Love and Remembrance
Thank you to Dee’s family for trusting me to create her flowers, and for sharing her photograph and words of remembrance.
Creating bespoke funeral flowers means taking care with every detail, while remembering the person behind the tribute. It was an honour to play a small part in Dee’s farewell.
My thoughts are with everyone who loved her.
Created with care by Storm at Hip Poppy, St Albans.
