A Lemon, Green & Lily-Filled Wedding Celebration at The Robin Hood, St Albans 💛🤍🌿
What a gorgeous transformation this was!
For this wedding celebration at The Robin Hood in St Albans, the brief was fresh, bright and summery, with a beautiful palette of lemon yellow, white and green. The flowers also had a lovely personal touch — white lilies were the bride’s favourite flower, so it was really important to make them a beautiful feature throughout the celebration.
I used gorgeous white lilies throughout, paired with sunny yellow roses, delicate white flowers, fresh green blooms, eucalyptus and plenty of lush foliage. The combination was cheerful and vibrant while still feeling elegant and perfect for a wedding celebration.
The flowers weren’t just for the tables either. I carried the design throughout the pub so the whole venue felt part of the celebration.
Inside, little glass vases filled with coordinating flowers dressed the tables, while a large foliage and floral garland transformed the bar area. Outside, low arrangements brought the lemon, white and green palette into the garden, and a statement floral installation swept across the wooden pergola.
One of my absolute favourite parts was the foliage backdrop, decorated with statement clusters of lilies, lemon roses, white flowers and greenery. They loved the finished backdrop so much that they decided to keep it afterwards! 💚 That has to be one of the loveliest compliments.
The entrance was also dressed with an abundant floral display, so the flowers started making an impact before guests had even stepped through the door.
I loved how this celebration showed just how much flowers can transform a familiar space. You don’t need a traditional wedding venue to create something really special. By carrying the same colours and flowers from the entrance to the bar, tables and garden, The Robin Hood was completely dressed for the occasion while still keeping all of its lovely pub character.
And knowing the lilies were the bride’s favourite flower made the finished designs feel even more personal. 💛🤍🌿
