A Week of Colour at Hip Poppy
A little look at some of the gorgeous arrangements that have been leaving the Hip Poppy studio recently.
It’s definitely been all about colour — deep purple and blue hydrangeas, vibrant pink calla lilies, hot pink gerberas, beautiful roses, unusual textures and lots of gorgeous foliage.
One of the things I love most about floristry is creating something completely individual. I don’t like every bouquet looking the same. I love playing with unexpected colour combinations, mixing different flowers and textures and seeing how everything comes together.
Some are rich and dramatic, some are bright and fun, and some are just a complete explosion of colour — but every one is handmade and created with its own personality.
After more than 25 years working with flowers, I still absolutely love that you can give me a selection of flowers and I’ll never create exactly the same thing twice. That’s the beauty of bespoke floristry.
