Autumn Butterflies – Bringing Colour and Comfort Indoors

There’s something about autumn light that makes colours feel deeper — softer but somehow stronger too. This week’s pub design was all about celebrating that balance: bold tones, gentle textures, and the quiet joy of transformation that this season brings.

I used physalis (Chinese lanterns) for their fiery orange glow — they rise up through the design like little lanterns in the dusk — balanced with rich garden roses, white gerberas, and soft eucalyptus for grounding greenery. A touch of white branchwork adds structure and contrast, giving the butterflies somewhere to land.

The butterflies themselves are a gentle reminder that even in change, there’s beauty. They bring the arrangement to life — They bring the arrangement to life with a sense of movement and joy.
